Reading Horizons Attendance at Educational Conferences

Every year Reading Horizons attends several education conferences, this year is no exception. This year the focus of Reading Horizons booths and presentations is to discuss our new v5 software and to inform educators about Reading Horizons reading program can help students and adults learn to read. Here is a list of the conferences Reading Horizons has attended this year:

  1. Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD): San Antonio, TX, March 6-8, 2010
  2. Utah Speech and Hearing Association (USHA): Salt Lake City, UT, March 4-5, 2010
  3. Learning Disabilities Association of Utah (LDAU): Sandy, UT, March 5, 2010
  4. OSPI Institutional Education Conference (IEC): Chehalis, WA, March 11-12, 2010
  5. ProLiteracy/COABE/IAECE: Chicago, IL, March 16-19, 2010

This week (March 24-27, 2010) Reading Horizons Curriculum Specialist/ESL Director, Heidi Hyte, and Reading Horizons Company President, Tyson Smith, are attending the annual Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) conference in Boston, Massachusetts. Heidi will be doing a presentation on Saturday (March 27th) from 1-2PM EST titled: “Re-Imagining How to Assess Reading Level and Fluency with Technology.” If you are attending TESOL this week we encourage you to attend Heidi’s presentation and visit the Reading Horizons booth.

Also Reading Horizons Marketing Manager, Erika Huff, will be attending the National Conference on Family Literacy (NCFL) and will be presenting on decoding strategies for literacy development. The NCFL conference will be held in San Antonio, Texas on April 10-12, 2010.
