Utah Company Gets What it Gives - Prosperity

by Christine

How often can a person say this? “I love the company I work for!”

Who wouldn’t? The culture at this Utah-based company is fast-paced and nurturing. We grow people (inside the organization and out) by offering a literacy system that is explicit, systematic, and phonics-based as a supplement or intervention for ESL, adult learners, learning-disabled, and dyslexic students who are at-risk.

We already know that improving literacy worldwide results in a professional working force that also enhances the quality of a nation's economic productivity. That's the same commitment that Reading Horizons, has demonstrated, locally and internationally, through its ongoing charitable contributions.

In 2010, Reading Horizons donated more than $26,000 in software, supplies, training, and funding to organizations like the Hser Ner Moo Refugee Community Center in Salt Lake City and to earthquake victims in Haiti.

As part of the company’s commitment to literacy and children, Reading Horizons also made donations to local school districts, and the ESL Center for Adult Education in Salt Lake City, Utah. Additionally, the organization contributed to the Lighted Candle Society, Salvation Army, Just Give, and Lemons for Literacy.

A great company making positive, vital changes in the world.

“So really, what’s not to love about that?!”
