Heidi Hyte received her B.A. in linguistics and a master’s in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) from Brigham Young University (BYU). She has taught English as a Second or Foreign Language domestically and abroad. She worked as a full-time faculty member at BYU’s English Language Center (ELC). She currently teaches the Literacy Development in TESOL course at BYU. Heidi has conducted research projects in language learning, including studies that involve metacognitive language learning strategies and the effects of learner characteristics on language learning. Heidi has presented her research at conventions nationwide, including TESOL.
