Every Teacher a Reading Specialist

This isn’t a newsflash – schoolteachers spend more time with the students in their classroom than anyone else in their lives. That’s why we are committed to ensuring that every teacher has the opportunity to become a champion of literacy through our Every Teacher a Reading Specialists campaign. Our promise to you is that we will continue to provide affordable literacy programs, workshops, assessments, and webinars that are within your reach.

Proven Literacy Programs

Our research-based family of products includes Discover Intensive Phonics and Reading Horizons computer software and direct instruction materials specifically designed to supplement and teach adults, adolescents, and children to read. Even non-readers and ESOL students have advanced several grade reading levels while using this interactive, multi-sensory phonics software.

Discover Intensive Phonics

Discover Intensive Phonics deals exclusively with basic reading/word attack skills. The program has a multi-sensory approach, which means that it will appeal to a student’s individual learning style – visual, auditory, tactile, or kinesthetic. The program is based on Orton-Gillingham principles of instruction. Discover Intensive Phonics software was developed specifically for students aged 4-9 who exhibit below-average reading skills.

Instruction combines a mixture of daily multi-sensory direct instruction and independent work on the Discover Intensive Phonics computer software.

Reading Horizons V5

Reading Horizons is a remedial reading program that incorporates teacher training, direct instruction, and computer software. Reading Horizons software was developed specifically for students ages 10 and above who exhibit below average reading skills – particularly those reading below a sixth grade level.

Reading Horizons emphasizes word attack or decoding skills. In addition, Reading Horizons offers affordable teacher in-service training and provides hands on experience for educators in both direct instruction and computer software.
