Forty-three years later, they have grown into an agency that provided a sheltered workshop and developmental training center for sixty-eight individuals and residential facilities for forty individuals. They also proved a program called S.U.C.C.E.S.S. or Streator Unlimited's Customized Community Employment and Support Services for an additional six community members. They provide a variety of supportive services to an overall total of seventy-nine individuals. Geographically, Streator, Illinois, is a rural town in north central Illinois with 14,800 people. Their mission is to "...Enrich the lives of adult with disabilities by teaching skills that will enable them to reach their fullest potential, live as independently as possible and become integrated in the community." Streator Unlimited's policy is to accept and render services to adults with disabilities without regard to race, color, or national origin.
