The English Language Enhancement is a consumable resource for ESOL students to supplement their learning of vocabulary, pronunciation, and culture while using the Reading Horizons program. Students engage in various vocabulary strategies that can be practiced and self-evaluated to help students learn which vocabulary strategies work best for them. Students are then encouraged to implement these strategies while working with the Reading Horizons material to enhance their vocabulary development. Students also learn how to self-monitor their pronunciation as they are provided opportunities to practice and evaluate their pronunciation while using Reading Horizons program. Finally, students are provided a resource that orients them to cultural applications to enhance their learning of English.
