|What is Funded
||The purpose of the program is to establish or expand community learning centers that operate during out-of-school hours and provide students with academic enrichment opportunities along with other activities designed to complement the students' regular academic program. Community learning centers may also offer literacy and related educational development to these students' families. As a result of ESEA approved flexibility, a portion of the competitively awarded 21st CCLC programs can now support expanded learning time activities (during a longer school day).
