What is Funded The 21st Century Community Learning Center’s program provides opportunities for children who come from economically disadvantaged families and attend low-performing schools to receive academic supports. School districts, schools, community-based organizations, including faith-based organizations, institutions of higher education, city or county government agencies, for-profit corporations and other public or private entities are eligible for the 21st Century Learning Center grants.
Who is Eligible State education agencies primarily award grants to applicants that propose to serve students who are economically disadvantaged and are performing below proficient in mathematics and reading on state assessments such as the Ohio Achievement Assessments.
How to Apply Visit their website. It seems to get updated when new information is available. However, the last time and application was posted was in 2013. It seems that they are honing in on what services are provided instead of offering funding for new services. It is likely that they would post an RFP sometime in January or February.
