In my district, we talk a lot about being kind to students. The acronym THINK is very familiar to my teachers, students and staff. It stands for these five questions: Is it True? Is it Helpful? Is it Inspiring? Is it Necessary? Is it Kind? While my teachers are extremely kind to students, there are situations where students are what I call “compassionately rescued” from their struggles. .
