Reading Horizons Resources for Students and Families
This page provides resources for supporting LAUSD students at home as they work on the Reading Horizons Discovery® (grades K-3) and Reading Horizons Elevate® (grades 4+) software programs.
Getting Started
Students will access the Reading Horizons software through their Schoology portal.
Family Literacy Night
Learn how to help your child or loved one become a successful reader! We encourage you to join us for a Family Literacy Night to learn how LAUSD is teaching your student to read—and how you can help foster this process.
We will briefly cover the Reading Horizons method, including the unique marking system your student is learning to decode unfamiliar words. By learning the basics, you can help reinforce these skills at home, boosting your child’s progress.
