Reading Horizons Review: Maggie Nelson

I started with my adult student Katherine two years ago. Her comprehension is good, but her phonics have needed a lot of help. Two months ago we convinced her to try Reading Horizons - just give it a try. She was doubtful, but she got on it and gave it her best shot. Last week on her TABE test she advanced one whole Educational Functional Level, from 3.3 to 4.5. We are thrilled. She is ecstatic!!

My student Lena Best just finished with the Elevate program. There is still a lot to work on, so she will continue reading books in the library, and she will review Chapters 5 and 6. But her lexile level went from 700 to 975. See teacher smile! Lena is grinning from ear to ear!
