We continue our conversation about the issues that may occur in middle school with a coordinator for Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) in Atlanta Public Schools. She shares the importance and value of SEL programs that support both students and adults.
Lindsay Wyczalkowski has over 18 years of educational experience developing school and district programming, designing professional learning, and presenting nationally on social and emotional learning, culturally responsive pedagogy, restorative practices, academic integration, and student empowerment. In her current role as the Elementary Schools Coordinator for Social and Emotional Learning in Atlanta Public Schools, Lindsay has had the unique opportunity to help build and implement the first-ever APS SEL initiative. In addition to supporting schools and leadership in APS, Lindsay is an educational consultant, published author, and doctoral candidate of educational policy studies and leadership.
