Facilitating Speech and Language Development through Reading Aloud and More

Tawni has been involved in many neighborhood, community, and even state-wide projects that have been dedicated to providing help and better education services for children with disabilities. Tawni’s passion for combating illiteracy and spreading awareness about a cause in need led her to run in the 2011 Mrs. Utah pageant, where she based her platform around promoting literacy and reaching out to the disadvantaged (the disabled, homeless, and individuals of low socioeconomic status).

Tawni Williams

Tawni Williams received her Bachelors of Science in Speech Language and Hearing Disorders from the University of Utah in 2002 and went on to achieve her Masters of Education degree in Speech Language Pathology from Utah State University in 2004. She has received her Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and is very passionate about promoting literacy. In fact, she was nominated for Speech Language Pathologist of the year in 2006.

Tawni can trace her love for improving the quality of life for others back to helping teach her disabled brother how to read. She has achieved some very inspiring accomplishments in her lifetime, and Tawni's family is one of her greatest. She is a mother to three beautiful children and spends her spare time country dancing, digital scrapbooking, rock climbing, and playing the piano.
